Dr. Lemley and the staff at Bridger Natural Medicine aim to make our clinic a safe, comfortable, judgment free environment. Often, symptoms associated with the aging process can be painful, uncomfortable, and challenging, not only physically, but emotionally as well. Read on in order to understand a bit more about our clinic and what you can expect upon working with Dr. Lemley
Who does Dr. Lemley treat?
While Dr. Lemley treats women, men, and children, he is a natural doctor that specializes in two areas, the first being treatments and therapies for women experiencing menopause, perimenopause (the transition into menopause), and beyond. Bridger Natural Medicine is the only Bozeman, MT clinic that naturally and holistically specializes to treat these diagnoses.
Symptoms of these diagnoses can include menstrual irregularity, longer or shorter cycles, heavier or lighter menstruation, a drop in libido, pelvic atrophy, bladder problems, mood changes (depression or anxiety), and classic body temperature changes like hot flashes and night sweats.
Additionally, Dr. Lemley specializes in treating men experiencing symptoms of aging, typically called andropause. Feelings of low energy, decreased sexual desire, weight gain, mood changes, among others, are all symptoms of aging that Dr. Lemley treats holistically and naturally.
Why should I choose naturopathic medicine as opposed to conventional medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a centuries-old ancient medical healing art which honors, recognizes, and supports the body’s own innate ability to mend. Conventional thinking is that the body is weak and needs external supplements (like drugs or surgery) to prop it up.
Many women (and men — to see our male-specific treatments, click here) who seek us out have tried conventional medicine and have seen uninspiring results. They are either still in pain or have not quite resolved some of the symptoms that are interfering with a feeling of healthiness. Others have been treated by naturopathic doctors in the past, have just begun to notice symptoms of aging, and are looking for a holistic physician who can confidently answer their questions.
What can I expect as a new patient?
If you’re brand new to integrative medicine or Bridger Natural Medicine, allot 1.5 – 2 hours of time. This is the time to voice all your health matters, thoughts, and concerns. During this time, Dr. Lemley will also gather a complete health history, review any previous records from former physicians, go over your current symptoms, and gather other important details.
Though many people assume that naturopathic medicine means we don’t use any traditional medical techniques, our physical examinations can be quite similar to what you’ve experienced during past doctor’s visits. We often do blood work, take cultures, perform x-rays, mammograms, ultrasounds, DEXA, MRIs, CT scans, and other procedures to enhance our clinical presentation
